Retiring-Year Increment: The Six-Month Condition

For a KPK Government employee retiring from 1 June through 30 November, the calculator adds the selected BPS increment once to the retirement-month basic pay used in the pension calculation.

No separate retiring-year increment is added for retirement from 1 January through 31 May. For retirement on or after 1 December, enter the basic pay already applicable after the normal 1 December increment; the calculator does not add it again.

Qualifying-service rounding remains unchanged: 1–6 additional months are ignored, while 7–11 months add one year, subject to the calculator's existing cap. The retiring-year increment depends on the retirement date and BPS, not on promotion timing.

What Can This KPK Pension Calculator Calculate?

This calculator estimates KPK Government monthly pension, gross and net pension, qualifying service, retirement-month pensionable pay, BPS increment, medical allowance, commutation, gratuity and applicable pension increases.

Check the KPK appointment-date pension scheme

The Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa states that the Contributory Provident Fund arrangement applies to employees appointed on or after 1 July 2022. Confirm the employee's appointment date and applicable scheme with the department and Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before using this defined-benefit pension estimate.

This calculator does not choose an official pension category or determine whether a case should be processed as retiring, invalid, compensation, anticipatory or family pension. Use the relevant KPK pension process and forms for the employee's actual case.

Why the KPK calculator uses retirement-month basic pay

Unlike the Federal and Balochistan calculators on HisaabKit, this KPK page uses the basic pay for the retirement month together with only the pensionable components already supported by its existing engine. It does not request or calculate a 24-month average.

Use the Pakistan Basic Pay Scale Calculator or browse the calculator hub. If the employee is in the wrong jurisdiction, use the Federal or Balochistan pension calculator instead.

What Information Do You Need?

Prepare BPS, date of birth, date of appointment, date of retirement, retirement-month pensionable pay, qualifying-service details and any other supported pensionable components. Enter the information carefully because the estimate depends on these details.

How Is KPK Pension Calculated?

KPK pension is estimated using retirement-month pensionable pay, qualifying service and the applicable pension calculation method. The calculator then shows the estimated gross pension and other applicable pension benefits.

KPK Gross Pension Formula

The calculator uses the 7/300 pension formula for the gross pension calculation, based on the pensionable pay and qualifying service entered. Retirement-month basic pay is increased by the selected BPS increment, and allowed pensionable components are added before the formula is applied.

Age and Qualifying Service

Age is calculated from the date of retirement and date of birth. Service is calculated from appointment to retirement. Extra months from 1 through 6 are ignored, while extra months from 7 through 12 add one year; counted service is capped at 30 years.

BPS Increment and Pensionable Pay

Enter the retirement-month basic pay and add Special Pay, Personal Pay, Qualification Pay, Overseas Pay, Senior Post Allowance and Other Pensionable Allowances only where each is allowed and pensionable. Orderly Allowance is not separately shown in the KPK calculator.

Pension Increases

The original Net Pension is the starting running total; each new total becomes the base for the next configured increase.

Medical Allowance on KPK Pension

Using Net Pension before increases, Medical Allowance 2010 is 20% of 75% of Net Pension for Gazetted employees and 25% of Net Pension for Non-Gazetted employees. Medical Allowance 2015 is 25% of Medical Allowance 2010 for both classifications.

KPK Pension Gratuity

Gratuity is calculated as Commuted Pension × 12 × Age Factor. The shared Pakistan age-rate table used by the pension calculators is applied.

KPK Pension Commutation

The commuted pension portion is estimated as 35% of gross pension. The result shows this monthly portion separately; it is used with the age factor when estimating gratuity.

Frequently Asked Questions About KPK Pension

What is the KPK Pension Calculator 2026?

It is an online HisaabKit estimate for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government employees using retirement-month pensionable pay, BPS, qualifying service and allowed pensionable components.

Does this calculator apply to KPK employees appointed on or after 1 July 2022?

The Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa states that the Contributory Provident Fund arrangement applies to employees appointed on or after 1 July 2022. Confirm the applicable scheme with the department and AG KPK before using this defined-benefit estimate.

Why does the KPK calculator use retirement-month basic pay?

This calculator uses the basic pay entered for the retirement month together with only its supported pensionable components. It does not request or calculate a 24-month average.

Which AG KPK pension process or form should I use?

Use the relevant KPK pension process and forms for the employee’s actual case. AG KPK publishes pension guidance and pension forms for official processing.

Does this calculator select the official KPK pension category?

No. It does not select whether a case should be processed as retiring, invalid, compensation, anticipatory or family pension.

Does it determine family-pension entitlement or beneficiary shares?

No. It does not determine family-pension eligibility, beneficiary shares, payment duration or succession-related benefits.

What is retirement-month pensionable pay?

Retirement-month pensionable pay starts with the basic pay for the retirement month. The calculator adds the selected retiring-year increment only for retirement from 1 June through 30 November, then adds only the optional pensionable components entered by the user.

Which pensionable components can I enter?

You can enter Special Pay, Personal Pay, Qualification Pay, Overseas Pay, Senior Post Allowance, and Other Pensionable Allowances when each component is allowed and applicable. KPK does not separately show Orderly Allowance in this calculator.

How is qualifying service calculated?

Extra service months from 1 through 6 are ignored. Extra months from 7 through 12 add one year. Counted service is capped at 30 years.

When does the KPK pension calculator add the retiring-year increment?

It adds the selected BPS increment to retirement-month basic pay only when retirement falls from 1 June through 30 November, before allowed pensionable components are added.

Why is no separate increment added for retirement in December?

The normal annual increment takes effect from 1 December. The user should enter the basic pay actually applicable after that increment, so adding another retiring-year increment would count it twice.

Is the six-month retiring-year increment rule the same as qualifying-service rounding?

No. The retiring-year increment condition decides whether an annual increment is included for pension purposes. Qualifying-service rounding separately decides how a fraction of a service year is counted. Changing one must not change the other.

What if the employee was promoted during the retirement year?

Promotion and pay re-fixation can require case-specific treatment. Use pensionable pay verified by the department or Accountant General because the calculator does not collect enough information to reconstruct every promotion-related re-fixation.

How are KPK pension increases applied?

Starting with the original Net Pension, the calculator applies 2022 at 15%, 2023 at 17.5%, 2024 at 15%, 2025 at 7%, and 2026 at 7% continuously. Each new total becomes the base for the next increase.

How are KPK medical allowances calculated?

Using Net Pension before increases, Medical Allowance 2010 is Net Pension x 75% x 20% for Gazetted employees and Net Pension x 25% for Non-Gazetted employees. Medical Allowance 2015 is 25% of the 2010 amount for both classifications.

How are KPK commutation and gratuity calculated?

The commuted pension is estimated as 35% of gross pension. Gratuity = Commuted Pension x 12 x the age factor for the retirement age. This calculator uses the shared Pakistan age-rate table selected for the pension calculators.

Why should I verify my service book?

An official pension case depends on verified service records. Appointment dates, retirement dates, leave, interruptions and qualifying service should be checked from the service book by the relevant department.

Is this an official KPK Government pension calculation or PPO?

No. HisaabKit provides a planning estimate only. The result is not an official Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government pension sanction, Pension Payment Order or departmental decision.

This HisaabKit KPK Pension Calculator is for planning and information only. It is not an official KPK Government pension sanction, PPO, pension order, or legal advice. Confirm the pensionable pay, allowed components, service record, age factor and final result with the relevant department and pension authority.
