About this Zakat Calculator
This Zakat Calculator Pakistan converts qualifying wealth into Pakistani rupees, compares it with the selected Nisab, and applies the 2.5% rate only when the wealth has met Nisab for one complete lunar year. Values should represent the position at the end of your Zakat year.
What Does This Zakat Calculator Include?
The calculator supports cash and bank balances, qualifying gold and silver, trading or business assets, collectible receivables and eligible short-term debts. Livestock, agricultural Ushr and specialist fiqh cases are intentionally excluded from this version.
This calculator does not determine gold purity, jewellery treatment, personal-use exemptions, detailed debt eligibility or specialist asset classifications. Scholarly opinions and individual circumstances may differ. Use the pure-metal equivalent and qualifying amounts appropriate to the guidance you follow, and consult a qualified scholar when uncertain.
Nisab used for Zakat in Pakistan
The Nisab for Zakat depends on whether you choose the gold-only or mixed-assets calculation. For the gold-only calculation, the Nisab is 87.48 grams (7.5 tola) of gold. For mixed assets, the calculator uses 612.36 grams (52.5 tola) of silver. The PKR value is calculated using the metal price used in the calculation rather than a fixed PKR Nisab amount.
This calculator estimates personal Zakat by valuing the selected gold or silver Nisab at the metal prices used in the calculation. Pakistan’s annually notified Nisab for compulsory Zakat deduction at source by banks is a separate statutory threshold and should not be treated as the live gold- or silver-price result produced here.
Pakistan bank Zakat-deduction threshold
For the 1446–47 AH Zakat year, the State Bank of Pakistan circulated the officially notified bank-deduction Nisab of Rs. 503,529. This amount concerns deduction of Zakat at source from applicable bank accounts under Pakistan’s statutory system. It does not replace the user-selected, metal-price-based Nisab used by this personal Zakat estimator.

Frequently Asked Questions About Zakat
What does the Zakat Calculator Pakistan calculate?
It applies this calculator’s configured 2.5% model to qualifying cash and bank balances, gold, silver, trading or business assets and collectible receivables after eligible short-term debts. Zakat is shown only when qualifying wealth is at or above the selected Nisab and the Hawl confirmation is selected.
What is the Nisab for Zakat in this calculator?
The calculator uses the configured gold Nisab of 87.48 grams (7.5 tola) for the gold-only basis and the configured silver Nisab of 612.36 grams (52.5 tola) for the mixed-assets basis. Each threshold is valued using the PKR-per-gram metal prices entered or retrieved for the calculation.
Should I use gold Nisab or silver Nisab?
The choice can depend on your asset type and the scholarly guidance you follow. This calculator offers gold-only Nisab for gold-only wealth and mixed assets / silver Nisab for cash, silver, business assets or receivables; consult a qualified scholar if you are uncertain.
Does the calculator require live gold and silver prices?
No. No API key is required for users because you can enter both current PKR-per-gram prices manually. Automatic GoldPriceZ rates are optional, editable prefilled values when available and are not required to calculate.
How should I enter gold and silver prices?
Enter pure 24K gold and silver prices in Pakistani rupees per gram, then record the date used. The result shows those values and the date so it can be checked later.
What does completing one lunar year or Hawl mean?
This calculator requires your confirmation that qualifying wealth remained at or above Nisab for one complete lunar year. It cannot independently verify continuous ownership from your account records or a single date.
Which assets can I include?
Supported categories are cash and bank balances, qualifying gold and silver, trading or business assets, and collectible receivables. Livestock, agricultural Ushr and specialist fiqh cases are excluded from this version.
Which debts can I deduct?
Enter only eligible short-term debts according to the guidance you follow. Debt eligibility can depend on individual circumstances and scholarly opinion, so the calculator does not make a universal ruling.
How should jewellery and gold purity be handled?
This calculator does not determine gold purity or jewellery treatment. Use the pure-metal equivalent and qualifying amount appropriate to the guidance you follow, and seek qualified advice when uncertain.
Is Pakistan’s bank Zakat-deduction Nisab the same as this calculator’s Nisab?
No. The State Bank of Pakistan’s statutory threshold for bank deduction at source is separate from this calculator’s personal estimate, which values the selected gold or silver Nisab using the metal prices used in the calculation.
Does the calculator calculate Fitrana or Sadaqat al-Fitr?
No. Fitrana or Sadaqat al-Fitr is separate from wealth-based Zakat and depends on applicable food measures, local prices, household circumstances and guidance followed by the payer.
Is the result a fatwa or official Zakat assessment?
No. The result is a general estimate, not a fatwa, religious ruling or official government Zakat assessment. HisaabKit is not a government or religious authority.
This Zakat Calculator Pakistan estimate is for information and planning only. It uses the stated Nisab basis, metal prices entered or retrieved for the calculation, the entered assets and debts, and a 2.5% rate.
