How Is Sindh Pension Calculated?
Gross Pension = Basic Pay × Qualifying Service × 7/300. For the supplied Sindh rules, net pension is calculated at 65% of gross pension, while 35% of gross pension is treated as the commuted portion. Pension increases are then applied sequentially according to the applicable increases used by this calculator.
This calculator does not calculate restoration of commuted pension or benefits payable under a different defined-contribution or retirement scheme.
Qualifying Service
The calculator measures service from appointment to retirement, keeps service up to and including six months at the completed whole years, rounds service exceeding six months up to the next year, and caps counted service at 30 years. For example, 56 years, 6 months and 1 day counts as 57 years.
Basic Pay Used for Sindh Pension Calculation
Sindh has no average basic pay concept for this calculator. Enter the basic pay used in the pension formula; no three-year averaging is performed. The calculator applies the supplied 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 pension increases sequentially rather than adding all percentages directly to the original pension.
Pension Increases 2022–2026
The increases are cumulative: 63.5% in 2022, 17.5% in 2023, 15% in 2024, 8% in 2025, and 7% in 2026. Each later increase uses the preceding cumulative pension amount exactly as supplied.
Medical Allowances
Using Net Pension before pension increases, Medical Allowance 2010 is Net Pension × 20% for Gazetted employees and Net Pension × 25% for Non-Gazetted employees. Medical Allowance 2015 is 25% of Medical Allowance 2010 for both classifications.

Frequently Asked Questions About Sindh Pension
When does the Sindh pension calculator add the retiring-year increment?
For a supported pension case ending from 1 June through 30 November, it adds the selected BPS increment to direct basic pay for pension purposes.
Why is no separate increment added for retirement in December?
The normal annual increment takes effect from 1 December. The user should enter the basic pay actually applicable after that increment, so adding another retiring-year increment would count it twice.
Is the six-month retiring-year increment rule the same as qualifying-service rounding?
No. The retiring-year increment condition decides whether an annual increment is included for pension purposes. Qualifying-service rounding separately decides how a fraction of a service year is counted. Changing one must not change the other.
What if the employee was promoted during the retirement year?
Promotion and pay re-fixation can require case-specific treatment. Use pensionable pay verified by the department or Accountant General because the calculator does not collect enough information to reconstruct every promotion-related re-fixation.
What is the Sindh Pension Calculator 2026?
It is an informational HisaabKit estimate for new Sindh pensioners with pension applicable from 01 July 2026, using the configured Sindh pension model.
Who can use this Sindh pension calculator?
Sindh Government employees can use it for an initial estimate of superannuation, voluntary-retirement or death-case pension benefits, subject to confirmation of the applicable scheme and records by the relevant department.
Does this calculator apply to employees under the Sindh Defined Contribution Pension Rules 2025?
This calculator applies the configured Sindh pension model shown on the page. Employees governed by the Sindh Defined Contribution Pension Rules 2025 or another retirement arrangement should confirm their applicable scheme with their department before using this estimate.
What is the 1 July 2026 scope shown on this calculator?
The page is intended for new pensioners covered by its stated effective date of 1 July 2026. Employees should confirm that the calculator’s scope and configured rules apply to their retirement case.
What basic pay should I enter?
Enter the basic pay used for the Sindh pension calculation. No three-year averaging is performed for Sindh.
What is the retirement age for Sindh Government employees in this calculator?
The superannuation path in this calculator uses age 60. The day before the 60th birthday is treated as the age-completion boundary.
What service is required for voluntary retirement in this calculator?
Voluntary retirement requires at least 25 counted years of qualifying service. No voluntary-retirement reduction factor is applied.
How is qualifying service calculated?
The calculator measures service from appointment to retirement. Service up to and including six months stays at the completed whole years, service exceeding six months rounds up by one year, and counted service is capped at 30 years.
How are Sindh gross pension, net pension and commutation calculated?
Gross Pension = Basic Pay x Qualifying Service x 7/300. Net Pension is 65% of gross pension, and the commuted portion is 35% of gross pension.
How are the configured 2022–2026 pension increases applied?
They are applied sequentially: 2022 uses 63.5% of net pension, then 2023 uses 17.5% of the cumulative amount, followed by 15%, 8% and 7% on the preceding cumulative amounts.
How are medical allowance and gratuity calculated?
Using Net Pension before pension increases, Medical Allowance 2010 is Net Pension x 20% for Gazetted employees and Net Pension x 25% for Non-Gazetted employees. Medical Allowance 2015 is 25% of the 2010 amount. Gratuity = Commuted Portion x the Pakistan-wide age rate for the employee’s retirement age x 12.
Does the Death option calculate complete family-pension benefits?
No. The Death option provides an estimate using the calculator’s configured death-case rules. It does not determine family-pension eligibility, beneficiary shares, payment duration or succession-related benefits.
Why should I verify my service book?
An official pension case depends on verified service records. Appointment date, retirement date, leave, interruptions and qualifying service should be checked from the employee’s service book by the relevant department.
Is this an official Sindh Government pension calculation or PPO?
No. HisaabKit provides a planning estimate only. The result is not an official Sindh Government pension sanction, Pension Payment Order or departmental decision.
This HisaabKit Sindh Pension Calculator is for planning and information only. It is not an official Sindh Government pension sanction, PPO, pension order, or legal advice. Confirm the basic pay, service record, pensionable emoluments, age rate, and final result with the employee's department and pension authority.
